BASIC OBEDIENCE

Telling our dogs what we DON'T want them to do is only half of the equation. We need to show them what we DO want them to do instead. Dogs with a clear understanding of expectations are less confused and more calm.

Learning and practicing the fundamentals is a powerful way to strengthen your dog's trust in your leadership in every aspect of their day to day life.

This course will cover the essentials as well as ideas to keep the exercises challenging and make sure the skills learned are still going strong for years to come.

LOOSE LEASH TRAINING

Walking should be a fulfilling, enriching activity for both you and your dog. Put a stop to pulling, help your dog learn good leash manners and enjoy your time outside together. We will cover the right equipment and the following behaviors.

  • Heel position

  • Get your dog to focus on you even with distractions

  • Get your dog to move in rhythm with you

  • Recall to Heel position

*Basic Obedience and Loose Leash Training courses are recommended as packages.

They cover a lot of ground and multiple consecutive lessons afford the best opportunity for good success.

  • Help our dogs be part of the learning process by guiding them to make good choices and rewarding them when they do.
